Jerry has always subscribed to the dictum: "only fast boats are interesting." In this way he is more like our mutual Uncle Harold than like his father, Ben. Jerry always specifies the largest motor(s) available for his boats, or hops the motor up in some way. He always seems to know what the market is for boats of a certain range of sizes and styles. I think he could out-broker most boat-brokers that I have met.
It fell to Jerry to be the one to finally give up on the old cottage. In the late 1980s he began the job of building a new cottage on the site of the old one.
